The ingredients needed to prepare Tangerine Liqueur:
- Prepare 6 of Tangerine skins, no white.
- Provide 1 1/2 cup of Vodka.
- Take 1 cup of sugar.
- You need 2 cup of water.
Instructions to make Tangerine Liqueur:
- Using a large mouth bottle, or mason jar, place the tangerine skins and add the vodka. Close and let it infuse for 8 days, shaking it every day..
- Remove the skins from the vodka. Boil the water and sugar for 5 to 6 minutes. Remove from the heat and let it cool..
- Filter the vodka, using a coffee filter or fine cloth, add the sugar syrup, mixing well. Transfer to a bottle and let it sit for 3 to 4 weeks. The longer it sits the better it gets..
Section tangerines and then cut each section into two or three pieces. Put tangerine pieces and peel in a jar with vodka, water, cinnamon, and cloves. Add white sugar and shake vigorously until sugar is dissolved. Using a swival blade peeler, peel tangerines, scraping off peel only, avoiding the white membrane. Place peels in a jar with the vodka or brandy.
