Ingredients

  • 2-3 lbs of baby back ribs or spare ribs
  • 2 cups of Mr. Yoshida's Original Gourmet Sauce (or more as needed)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger, grated
  • Green onions (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Clean the ribs and remove the membrane from the back. This will help in getting the meat tender and absorbing the marinade better.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine Mr. Yoshida's sauce, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Mix well.
  3. Place the ribs in a large sealable plastic bag or a container and pour the marinade over them. Ensure all parts of the ribs are covered.
  4. Seal and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours, but preferably overnight for the best flavor.
  5. Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).
  6. Remove ribs from the marinade and save the excess marinade for basting.
  7. Place the ribs on a baking tray lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Cover with another piece of foil.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for about 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.
  9. In the last 30 minutes of baking, uncover the ribs and baste them with the saved marinade.
  10. Once cooked and tender, remove from the oven and let them rest for about 10 minutes.
  11. Garnish with sliced green onions and optionally, sesame seeds.
  12. Serve hot and enjoy!
